April Samuels

"I've been using RockNRoller Multi-carts to move my drums for shows for nearly 10 years. Previously, I would hand carry my drums. The RockNRoller Multi-carts have been a life-saver. I've now also incorporated a "fleet" of RockNRoller Multi-Carts into my nonprofit, Breast Cancer Can Stick It!, for quicker, easier and pain-free set up by our volunteers for our events and fundraisers. I'll never do a show or a fundraiser without them! What a difference they have made!"
Between traveling as a full-time drummer with the 80s spoof-hair-band Metal Shop combined with freelance work, April is performing over 120 shows a year. April was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010 and immediately combined her passion for drums with her personal fight against cancer by founding her organization Breast Cancer Can Stick It! Foundation, Inc.. Through performing shows, collaborating with other celebrities for fundraisers, guest appearances, and speaking events, April rocks year round both behind and in front of the drums.
As a philanthropist, April has coordinated, managed, and promoted multiple music-based, fundraising events and raised awareness for not-for-profit organizations including:
- Breast Cancer Can Stick It! Fundraising (2010-present) - managed all marketing, promotions and fundraising activities
- Deep Ellum Arts Festival (2004-2009) - booked and arranged stage entertainment for multiple stages
- Music For Marriage (2005) - raising awareness for Proposition 8
- Women Rockin' 4 Women (1999-2002) - fundraiser for New Beginning Center for victims of domestic violence (including 8 festivals and 54 shows for Starbucks Home Brewed Dallas Live Music Summer Series)
